How can I set up the gift offer to work over a certain $ amount?

Here's how to set up an offer, so that it works once you reach a certain cart value.

Monetary value rule

  1. Add rule

  • Go to your offer's settings, click 'Add rule' and add the 'Monetary value' rule.

  1. Minimum & Maximum spend

  • Once you have added the rule, you may now set a minimum and maximum value.

If you set the minimum spend to for example $30, the customer will only be eligible once they add products to their cart wroth at least $30 in value (base product price).

You may also leave the maximum spend blank, and that way the offer and its gift(s) will remain once you have above $30 in cart.

Note: If your store has discounted products, the rule will consider the price before the discount when determining eligibility for the offer. In the Shopify discount function, it's really complex to see in advance what discounts will be applied by other discount apps or Shopify itself. Therefore, you can only use the base product price for discount calculations. As a workaround you could increase the monetary value in the offer.Example: If you have a product that is discounted from $40 to $29.99 and the offer has a monetary value rule of $30 minimum spend, the customer will be eligible for the offer.
