How to correctly set up your gift product to avoid unwanted checkouts

Setup

1. Go to Shopify Products and enter your gift's settings.

2. Next, scroll down to the Pricing section and change the price of your gift from free to any amount greater than 0. For example $10.

The gift product price should not be set to 0. It must have a price greater than 0 — the Koala Gifts app will automatically apply a 100% off discount whenever the customer is eligible to receive the reward from the offer. If the gift's price is set to 0 and it’s published to Shopify's storefront, there are multiple ways it can be purchased without any restrictions.
